Lesson 4.6: Edit Web Site Greeting

 
You can include a short message that welcomes users to the Web Site and provides some orientation. This text appears on your Web Site's home page. The text is different for different types of visitors. Sample greeting text appears in each of the text boxes. You can use or change the text to fit your needs.

Make sure you are logged in as a Web Site Administrator and Click the Web Site Manager Button.

     
Scroll to the Preferences Option Section.
It is highlighted in green.

     
Click on the "Edit Web Site Greeting" link under the Preferences Option.

     
Edit any of the web site greeting messages that appear in the text boxes on the form.
 
Greeting for Guests: Text for visitors who are not logged in, do not have a user profile set up, and are not participants.
       
Greeting for Registered Users: Text for users who have a user profile set up, have logged in, but who are not participants.  
     
Greetings for Participants: Text for users who have logged in and clicked the Participate button.  
     
Greetings for Administrators: Text for Web Site Administrators of this Web Site.  
     
Click the Done button after making any desired changes.

     
To exit the Web Site Manager, Click the "Return to Your Site Name Home Page" link on your Web Site Manager Page.
