Work with pages:
You can add, change, or delete pages. You can make a page private—available only to certain participants.
You can also change the order in which pages display and move a page “down” to a related site.
For example, you started a Web Site for a Rocket Club. Now, you have three groups in your club. You can make a
related Web Site for each group, while still maintaining the parent Web Site for the entire club. |
 |
Work with participants: You can add or remove participants. You can make some participants
Web Site Administrators, giving them additional privileges. You can also set policies that govern how content is
published and by whom. Lastly, you can send email to all participants of your Web Site. |
 |
Set preferences: You can choose a background or border design for all pages in this
Web Site. You can assign a short name or nickname as an address (URL) for your Web Site that makes it easier for
users to remember. You can also select the channels (categories) in which users search for your Web Site. You can
easily change the logo image that displays on your Web Site pages, the text that displays as a greeting to your
users, or contact information. |
 |
Schedule chats: You can schedule and participate in chat sessions. You can also
view transcripts or text from previous chat sessions. |
 |
Schedule or view
events: You can post an event to a master calendar
so that others can view all the events associated with your Web Site or even your related Web Site. |
 |
List messages on the Message
Board: You can post messages to all participants
and view messages others posted. |
 |
Add or edit content feeds. You can automatically display content from another public posting,
another page, or even another Web Site. This is called an "automatic internal content feed" or "news
feed." When the original content is updated, the page showing the Smart Feature also updates automatically.
You might want to use this feature to show teasers or short clips from the more lengthy news articles or stories
and to encourage readers to continue to the rest of the story elsewhere in the Web Site. |
 |
Invite others to participate: You can invite registered users to participate in your Web Site. |
 |
Add a related Web Site: You can add a Web Site "below" the current Site. Most
preferences you set on the parent site do not affect the related Site. |
 |
Delete this Web Site: You can delete the currently viewed Web Site from the community.
This action cannot be reversed. It also results in the deletion of all information (stories, images, discussions,
and events) stored within current Web Site. |
