Set preferences As a Web Site Administrator, you govern how participants contribute content and interact with the Web Site. Note: Your System Manager can govern all the preferences for your site. If preference options do not appear, contact your System Manager. You can: Add a new background or border to your pages Change your Web Site address (also called a URL) Change your Web Site channel listings (how your Web Site is categorized) Change your Web Site contact information Change the logo or graphic that displays on your Web Site Change the greeting text that displays on your Web Site's home page What are preferences? Your Web Site's design, graphics, and messages to new users are governed by preferences or settings that you select. You can change them at any time and as often as you like. However, you might want to limit the number of overall design changes, because users become familiar with the look of your Web Site and recognize it more quickly if the design remains constant. Preference changes affect only the one Web Site you are currently viewing. The changes do not affect sites related to your Web Site. So, each Web Site can have different designs, greetings, and graphics.
