Format links to chat transcripts

Participants or Web Site Administrators can insert links to chat transcripts (text that was previously saved from active chat sessions using Web Site Manager). You can choose the list style, bullet, font, background, and more for the list.

To access the Format Links to Chat Transcripts page

  1. From the page containing the chat transcript, click the Edit Page option at the top of the page.
  2. From the Edit Page page, scroll through the postings on the page and find the chat transcript posting.
  3. Click the Format Chat Transcripts option near the chat transcript feature.
  4. From the Transcripts Link Options page, click the Link Style option.

To use the Format Links to Chat Transcripts page

  1. Style: Click the radio button below the list style you want. This is the way the links on the chat transcript list will appear.
    • Width for list of links: Optionally, enter a width for the list in pixels or a percent of the page width. Or, you can select Auto to let the system determine the best width.
    • Border: Select 0 to show no border around your list. Select 1 (thin border) to 5 (thick border).
  2. Format Heading Text: Enter text that appears at the top of your list. Also choose the font and font attributes.
  3. Format Chat Transcript Names: Select the format for the links to the chat transcripts.
  4. Format Chat Transcript Descriptions: Select the format for the chat transcript descriptions that appear in the list.
  5. Format Saved Date and Time: Select the format for the date and time of the chat sessions.
  6. Select Bullet Style: Click the radio button to the left of the bullet you want to use in the bulleted list of chat sessions.
  7. Select Background Colors: Select the color that appears as the background of your list. The heading color appears in the heading row of the list.
  8. Click Done.
