Format content feed paragraphs

When adding or editing a posting on a web page or creating a page layout, participants or Web Site Administrators can automatically display content from another public posting, another page, or even another Web Site. This is called an automatic internal content feed or news feed. You can choose the content feed style, bullet, font, background, and more. You can also determine how long the content feed will be in your page.

To access the Format Content Feed Display page

  1. From the page containing the content feed item, click the Edit Page option at the top of the page.
  2. From the Edit Content on This Page page, scroll through the postings on the page and find the content feed posting.
  3. Click the Format Content Feed option near the content feed feature.
  4. From the Content Feed Options page, click the Content Feed formatting option.

To use the Format Content Feed Display page

  1. Style: Click the radio button below the list style you want. This is the way the content feed information will appear.
    • Set overall width for content feed: Optionally, enter a width for the content feed in pixels or a percent of the page width. Or, you can select Auto to let the system determine the best width.
    • Border: Select 0 to show no border around your content feed. To show a border, select 1 (thin border) through 5 (thick border).
  2. Format Heading Text: Enter text that appears at the top of your list. Also choose the font and font attributes.
  3. Format Link Text: Select the format name or title of the posting containing the content feed.
  4. Format Posting Text: Select the format for the content feed text that is pulled in from the full posting. You typically want to avoid displaying the body text in bold.

Also specify how long your feed will be. Enter the number of characters you want to display.

  5. Select Background Colors: Select the color that appears as the background of your content feed. This background sets off the content feed from the rest of the text on your page. The heading color appears in the heading row of the list.
  6. Click Done.
