When adding or editing a posting on a page or creating a page
layout, participants or Web Site Administrators can publish Web Site greetings (messages that display to users
when they first display the home page; the message differs depending on the type of user you are). You can choose
font, font style, alignment, and text color. When the Web Site Administrator changes the Web Site greeting using
Web Site Manager, all postings displaying this Smart Feature also display the updated greeting.
Where can you use this Smart Feature?
You can use Smart Features on any page in the Web Site, including
the Interest Guide channel page.
- When inserting a posting, select Headers and Footers from the Layout
drop-down list and select the layout containing the Web Site greeting feature.
- When editing a posting, click the Edit Posting button below the posting that contains the greeting feature. Change the text format.
- Although
you publish
and format
Smart
Features in postings on any page, you update their content
globally
via the Web Site Manager console. To change the actual
greeting messages, return to the Web Site Manager and
select the Edit
Web Site Greeting option.
Note: You can use this Smart Feature only if your System Manager enabled participants to publish in this
Web Site.
