Smart Feature: Web Site description

When adding or editing a posting on a page or creating a page layout, participants or Web Site Administrators can publish the Web Site description. You can choose the font, font style, alignment, and text color for this Smart Feature. When someone changes the Web Site description using Web Site Manager, all postings displaying this Smart Feature also display the updated description.

Where can you use this Smart Feature?

You can use Smart Features on any page in the Web Site, including the Interest Guide channel page.

  • When inserting a posting, select the Headers and Footers option from the Layout drop-down list and click a layout that contains the Web Site description.
  • When editing a posting, find the posting that contains the Web Site description and click the Edit Posting button below that posting.
  • Although you publish and format Smart Features in postings on any page, you update their content globally via the Web Site Manager console. To change the Web Site description, return to the Web Site Manager and click the Change Web Site Info option.


Note: You can use this Smart Feature only if your System Manager enabled participants to publish in this Web Site.
