You can include a short
message that welcomes users to the Web Site and provides some
orientation. This text appears on your Web Site's home page. The
text is different for different types of visitors. Sample
greeting text appears in each of the text boxes. You can use or
change the text to fit your needs.
- From the Web Site Manager, click Edit
Web Site greeting.
- Complete the form. Here are some tips:
- Greeting for Guests: Text for visitors
who are not logged in, do not have a user profile set up, and are not participants. For example, "Welcome!
You may browse public areas of our site."
- Greeting for Registered
Users: Text for users
who have a user profile set up, have logged in, but who
are not participants. For example, "You are logged
in. Click Participate,
or click My Profile
to determine Web
Sites in which you can participate."
- Greetings for Participants: Text for
users who have logged in and clicked the Participate button. For example, "You are a Participant in this Web
Site. You may access all content and features."
- Greetings for Administrators: Text for
Web Site Administrators of this Web Site. For example, "You are a Web Site Administrator here and can change
any part of this Web Site."
- Click Done.
