Edit a posting layout

When you add a posting to a page, you have the option of creating your own layout for the posting instead of using a predefined layout. The layout determines how the text, graphics, and links appear in the layout.

You can also edit your layout after you create it. But if you want to delete a feature from the layout, you have to create a new layout. You can't delete that feature from the layout.

Note: These instructions apply to viewers using Netscape Navigator 4.x and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x. If you're using Netscape Navigator 3.x or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.x, see Create a layout.

  1. Click Change Layout next to the posting whose layout you want to change.
  2. If you want to change the layout name, type the new name in the Layout Name text box.
  3. If you want to move a feature, click the arrow next to it. You can move the feature one cell at a time.

Note: The table represents the section of the web page that contains your posting. Each cell represents an area in that section. For example, the cell in the first column of the first row represents the upper left corner of the section.

  4. Click the check box next to a feature to hide it until the reader clicks on a link to expand the posting. A link that shows "Continued" will appear instead of the feature.
  5. Click Done.
