As a Web Site Administrator or participant, you can export events from
the Web Site calendar to a computer and use the events in other software programs. You decide which events you want
to export. For example, you can choose to export only events that occur within a month, which is called filtering.
Then, you export the events in the following formats:
- Basic HTML format:
Exports events in HTML format. This format includes all fields (even blank ones) that are options when adding a
calendar event.
- Basic Short HTML format:
Same as above, but includes only the following fields: Event Name, Start Date, Start Time, End Date, End Time,
Description, Location Name, and Categories.
- CSV format:
Exports events in a CSV (comma separated value) format. The
CSV format separates all fields with a comma. You can import
the file into database and spreadsheet programs.
- CSV Short format:
Same as above, but includes only the following fields: Event Name, Start Date, Start Time, End Date, End Time,
Description, Location Name, and Categories.
- Text format: Exports
events as text with no HTML tags or formatting. Includes all fields.
- Short Text format:
Same as above, but includes only the following fields: Event Name, Start Date, Start Time, End Date, End Time,
Description, Location Name, and Categories.
- To export calendar events, click Calendar.
- Under the calendar, click Update.
- Click Event Export.
- Click one of the filters to export events in a certain time frame, or
click Create a new filter
if the time frame you need isn't listed. (You'll then fill in the filter name and the criteria by which you want
to filter events.)
- Click the export format, or click Create
a new format if the format you need isn't listed. (You'll then
fill in the filter name and features for that filter.)
- Click the Here link to filter the events.
- Click File/Save As in your browser if you're exporting to an HTML or text file, or click Save File in the dialog box
that appears when you save a CSV file.
Note:
If you export events to a CSV file or text, you need to save the file with a TXT extension. The browser saves files
with an HTML extension by default.
