Before participants
can insert a content feed, Web Site Administrators must create
the content feed items using Web Site Manager.
The system
takes you through the following steps:
- Identify
the name and description of the content feed.
You
are here.
- Search for
a channel or Web Site holding the posting from which you want
to abstract the text for the feed.
- Add a posting
to the schedule for this content feed.
- Enter a
start date and time to indicate when posting text will be abstracted
for the feed. The
schedule lets you change posting abstracts that appear on a
page. This would be helpful if you wanted to update your page
with fresh news items, for example.
To access
the Create a Content Feed page
- From the
Web Site Manager, click the Add/edit
content feeds option.
The View/Edit Content Feeds page appears.
- Click the
Add Content
Feed
button at the top of the page.
To create
the content feed
- Enter a
name for your content feed. This name appears only to you and
to participants who are inserting the content feed feature on
a page.
- Enter a
description for this content feed.
- To enable
all others in the community to use this news feed in their pages,
click the Make
this a Shared Content Feed option.
- Click Continue.
