Format links to active chats

Participants or Web Site Administrators can insert links to chat sessions previously created using Web Site Manager and currently active. You can choose from multiple styles and formats for the list of chat sessions on each posting. You can choose the list style, bullet, font, background, and more for the active chat links. You can also choose which chat sessions display.

To access the Chat Link Options page

  1. From the page containing the active chat, click the Edit Page option at the top of the page.
  2. From the Edit Content on this Page page, scroll through the postings on the page and find the active chat link posting.
  3. Click the Format Chat Links option below the chat link posting.

To use the Chat Link Options page

  1. Choose one of the following options that affect only the current posting:

    • Link style. Click this option to select whether you want the chat links to display in one or more columns and to choose font color, bullets, background colors, and more. For instructions, see Format links to active chat sessions.

    • Link to which chats?. Click this option to choose the active chat session links you want to display in this posting. You can select all chats or specific chats. For instructions, see Select links to active chats.

  2. Choose one of the following options that affect all active chats. Use these options as shortcuts to the Web Site Manager Chat options.

    • Schedule a Chat. Click this option to add more chat sessions. These sessions will appear in your list of chats from which you can choose. For instructions, see Schedule a chat.

    • Edit Active Chats: Click this option to update an existing chat. For instructions, see View or edit active chats.
